Comments: How instrumental was Sembach in my life? Well, I ended up marrying my Building 31 neighbor at the Bach (Tina Tatro), and I still remain very close friends with people like Marlon Polk, Larry Teague and Gary Smith. In fact, I see Marlon and Marcus, as well as Larry, at least a few times each year, and I recently served as best man at Gary Smith's wedding in Las Vegas. His sister, Cindy, was also there, and we talked about the Bach quite a bit (she's a Peace Corps volunteer in Equador). I have two small children, Aaron (3) and Nicole (1) but I still don't feel like a grownup (I think it's called the Peter Pan Principle or something like that). Anyway, it's great seeing all the old familiar names. Where have the years gone, anyway? Let's all keep spreading the word about this page! It's a great thing.

Comments: Hello fellow Sembachers. I'm looking for several people, unfortunately I don't seem to remember most of your names. If anyone knows of Jim, Sandy, Terri (possibly married at this time), David, or Tibby (the cat) Kovach please let me know. Sandy was my babysitter at the time and I remember being treated like family by them all. I would really like to talk to them again someday. I do know that David graduated from K-town in '82 or '83. Any 1992/93 graduates who attended Sembach Elementary school from 1980-1983 I would absolutely LOVE to hear from you. I don't remember a heck of alot of things about Sembach(other than the AYA, the "old haunted" AYA, Volksmarchs (sp?) and for some reason "King Kong's bathtub" (?))but I DO remember the great times I had as a child there. Does anyone remember Mrs. Salisbury (I think; 1st grade), Mrs. Karcher (2nd grade), or Mrs. Pauk (3rd grade)? I did not live on the base itself but in a nearby town (which I don't know the name of), if that helps any of you at all. Thanks alot.

Snake Hill as fast as a VW would go, Camping at Mt Whitey, Concerts, live local bands, dances, in the AYA, AYA football, basketball, iceskating, the hay stack, going to MX races in France, camping on an old castle roof, first drivers lic, cigarette, drink (cognac/coke), real girlfriend, and other first, too many to mention (or confess). Knew Paul, Mark, Big Burke, Mike Roberts, Mark, Larry Store, Joe, Janice Mendiola, Harry Myers, The Mancha's, Debbie Z, Beth, Cathy H, Sue F, Fred W, Dennis P, Mark W, Paul R, Morphine Molly, Eddie, Cathy B, too many to list, and many more faces without clear names. Go-carts and the Oct Fest, skinny dipping at night at the swimbad. Paul Burke, and others on stage with Uriah Heep in K-Town. Ran into Army LT Mark Burke at flight school (83/84), said Paul is an Officer in the USMC. Paul and I held Mark by his ankles, upside down and shook change out of his pockets for the pinball machine, his idea. Nice to see Beth's and other names, was begining to think all that stuff was just a nice comfortable dream. Have alot would like to talk about, e-mail. This is great!

Through the internet I have been able to get in touch with several Bachers who were there back in the day. My older brothers Mark (Sam), Martin (Cakes) and Marcus (Marcus) are all doing well. We left the Bach in '81 and moved to NYC. I went to college at the University of Nebraska, we rule college football, and then law school at Creighton Univ in Omaha, NE. I currently practice in my own firm after 5 years in a large law firm. I am married (to another lawyer), have 2 great kids Jazmine (Jazz 3) and Marcus (15 months). My best years were there at Sembach with the AYA groupies. We left a lot of good friends behind, but I am happy to say that I have kept in touch with a few friends (Mark Eye, Royce Gabbert, James Klaus). I have also run into a few "Bachers" stateside in my travels. We moved to Scott AFB, Illinois when we left Sembach and I have settled down here in the Midwest. My older brother Rory is in the Air Force, stationed at Holoman AFB, Alamagordo, New Mexico. My younger brother is back home finishing college here in Illinois. He served 8 years in the Navy assigned to Nuclear Subs. I am married with two sons, Jordon & Parker. My wife, Robin, and I will celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary next year. Comments: Hi! I was stationed at Sembach for two years in the 601 Supply Squadron. It was my first base and I loved it there. I especially miss the volksmarching, the food, and the castles. I ran into some ex- Sembachers during a recent deployment to Saudi Arabia, but I would love to hear from other people. Comments: Looking for anyone who lived on base during 74-78. I lived in the building (77?) above suicide hill and in the building in back of the AYA. It really stirred some memories to read everyones comments about things I had forgotten. Like the AYA, the movie theater by the school, etc. I left one year after they built the new high school or was it a junior high? Does anyone remember Tammy Strohmier, Ms. Duffy or that crazy science teacher who used to burn cigarette holes in our papers? Comments: What a blast from the past. My sister told me about this website. I went to Sembach Middle and Junior high school from 6th to 9th grade. Some of my friends were Michelle Coker, Kim Curry, John Poulton, Heather Thomas, Donna Detweiler and Mike Puskas. I then went to K-town till I graduated. My friends there were Jennifer Wahlen, Nanci Cuga, Laurie Parker, Mike Puskas, Becky Hansen, Joe Barrett and Keri Dezell. I stayed in Sembach and got married in 1990. My husband got stationed in Alaska, so we left in 1994. We left Alaska in May of 97 and got stationed in Louisiana. Comments: Hello Everyone and Anyone! I moved from Sembach to Tucson, AZ. in 1982 and fell out of touch with quite a few people. I hope the word gets around about this page. Comments: Hi everyone...I didnt have too many friends either at Sembach or at K-Town since I was there for such a short time; but the friends I did hang out with made my time there a total blast. I remember weekends at the longhorn or going to the flash... Also learning to drive a stick shift trying to get into the gate to the base on that hellish hill in winter!!! I have been fortunate in that my best friend I made during my stay in Germany and whom I am still in constant contact with to this day, Susie Ray/Pearson, now. Comments: What a nice surprise to be surfing the net today and stumble upon the Sembach Home Page. We were stationed at Sembach from Sept. 1964-August 1967. We dearly loved the "Bach" and left our heart there when we left. If there are anyone on the net that remembers us, we would love to hear from them. My husband, Clyde pastored the little Full Gospel Church in Sembach village for a couple of years. JUST FOR YOUR INFORMATION: In July, 1992, We organized the first Sembach Tiger Reunion held at Atlanta, Ga. The second one was on a cruise ship in 1995. Comments: I hope that this will unite me with some of my friends from K-town. I remember all of the parties outside with big bonfires just to stay warm. Those were the good times. I've stayed in contact with Adina Wisser, Mike Locke, Jeff Haas, Chris and Megan Dahl, Zach Hany, Erik Hawkins, and Jeff Burke. I am currently still attending Texas A&M University and will graduate in May '98. My brother Brad Barnes is attending Arizona State University and will graduate Dec. '98. He plans to continue on for a Physicians Assistant degree. If you want to get in contact with him let me know. Hope to hear from some former classmates soon. Comments: We were stationed with the 601st CES from 79-82. I was in the Site Development Shop and Linda was in the appliance shop. Left and returned to the 66th CES 1-1/2 later with 2 daughters. Linda was then out. Looking for other Sembachers from the Friday Early Bowling League and from the Varsity Volleyball team. My daughters, Heather and Heidi remember the AYA after school and the swimming parties at the indoor pool (can't remember the town). Be nice to here from others stationed in CE during that time.
