Comments: Just talked to Dewey MacAdoo (thanks Vana, Glenn) who I haven't spoken to, or even known where he might be, since 1970. What a kick this web page is. He and I and Tom Bueno hitchhiked to England the summer of 1970 from Sembach. We were going to be hippies, just like the Beatles on the Abby Road album cover. He tells me he has pictures of me and our friend, Tom, (since departed) holding up for the camera our deportation (from England) papers. It was like serious deja vu talking to him on the phone. We were designated as undesirable before we even got into the country. At least we got the satisfaction of seeing the White Cliffs of Dover (coming and going) before they booted us back to Belgium (losers). So much fun to read the comments from fellow Bachers of years before and since. I bet nobody has stories to tell like we got. Found James/Cindy O'Connell, still looking hard for Mike Roberts, Terry Kalichek, Gary Bell. Anxious to talk to Mark Stohr, Fred Woehler. I know where Jo Ann Hall and Michelle Bond are, but you will have to E-mail me to find out.

Comments: Hello everyone. Not very many people remember me. I just want to send a special hello to all the Library Aides at Sembach Middle School. Comments: Hey Everyone! It's great to be able to read what everyone writes about their memories of Sembach. We moved there in '66, eventually lived in 50 C-6 near the AYA. Great and very fond memories of many incredible times - great friends Dave Thedford, Sam Young, Mike and Steve Malone, playing babe ruth baseball and kicking butt every week with coaches Seaman and Turcotte, AYA football and the bus rides thru housing after we returned, singing the "We are the Tigers" as loud as we could. Summers spent at Winnweiler pool, walking down to Sembach village for pizza and beer/wine, the old fenced cemetary on the way back up, the night "Night of The living Dead" premiered, Munchweiler and the blue Light, returning from there and stopping at Philosophers Corner to make out with our girlfriends. Speaking of which, boy was I clueless....sorry Dolly Widner, Janet Kangas, Darlene Butte, Jude Sault, etc....what fools 15 year old "boys" can be. Still, I think of you all often and am most thankful for the enrichment you have added to my life. I believe my character today is due in part to the friendships I had at Sembach. Coach Pound, you were the greatest, more than just coaching by far. You shaped character!! Anyone remembering me, please e-mail me and I'll keep in touch. so much to say, so little space. My husband and I are expecting again in February and for those of you that remember my sister Brenda, she is expecting too!!!! She is about 6 weeks behind me. Our folks are thrilled!! That's just like Brenda to not let me get ahead of her!!!! Our brother Keith (he went to K-town, Class of 86) is back home after 10 years in the Air Force and 4 years at Spangdahlem. Comments: Aloha all the way from Hawaii! I can't believe all the memories this has brought back! Well I started 3rd grade in sembach and left after 7th grade. My brother Andrew Patrick is 2yrs older than me. He is going to trip when I tell him about this web page. Man I don't really know what to say, Sembach was the place that I felt completly safe at. I just remember being utterly carefree. After Germany my father was stationed in hawaii and I have been here since. Some people might remember my mother as the "bank lady" and she also coached our softball team her name is Leeda Patrick. Comments: Still keeping up on this page. This is the greatest. Its pretty interesting to read and see how people are doing. I still visit Sembach regularly since my mom still lives in Langmeil/Winnweiler. Sembach has not changed all too much as far as buildings go, but it sure is a ghost town. Its strange to see, especially since I spent most of my life there. I haven't heard from many people I knew. Still looking for Rhonda Napier, Laura Dinsmore, Judy Martin. I still keep in touch with the Moilanen's. My older sister Stephanie lives in Kentucky. My younger sister Tanya is looking for her friends Carmella Calabro and Michelle Stewart. Comments: We moved to Melingen the summer of 1965 and lived there for one year. The next year we moved on base and lived in the housing area at the far end of the base, up on the hill. We moved stateside Dec. 67. I have fond memories of sledding the hill down from our area. I had Kay Brackenbury (sp?) for fifth grade and Gretchen Hoffmann for sixth. Gretchen took us on some great field trips! I don't know if either of these women are still around but they made quite an impression on me. We used to attend church in Kaiserslautern. The time we spent in Germany were the some of the best we had while my Dad was in the Air Force. E me if you remember me or my family.

Comments: Noticed a few names I actually know while reading through the comments. I know a lot of people here in Tucson that have lived here their whole lives and go to reunions and run into people they've gone to school with all the time. We don't have that luxury but this is comes pretty close. It makes old memories seem like not so long ago (has it been 17 years???) The only person I've really kept in touch with on a regulary basis is Beth Baum (Murray) but my brother keeps in touch with some of the "Kool Breed" fellows still and fills me in on the news. Comments: I moved to Sembach during 5th grade (Mrs. Grimes' class). I Left for Texas in 8th grade and was so sad because I was having a such a great time. Friends with Tisha Oiler, Crissy Peveto, Danny Schaeffer (8th grade boyfriend), John and James Coker, David Potts, Kara Mullinix, Aaron Gardner and many many more. Memories: Going to the movie theater in the Elementary School (lived across the street) and then the Grand Opening of the Tiger Palace movie theater, 6th grade class trip to Rothenburg and sneaking into the boys' room, 7th grade shopping trips to France with Mrs. Cooper and the French club, dances in the cafeteria (Roxanne Roxanne), Vinwieler pool in the summer, sledding down Suicide Hill in the winter, The witch's hat playground next to Suicide Hill, Holiday Park/Fantasialand, lock-in at the Bowling Alley and so many more. What a great place to grow up! I'd love to know how all my old friends are doing!

Comments: Since I found this page, it made me think alot about Sembach and the time that my family spent there. I think that the main thing that brings us all to this web site is the special closeness that we felt with each other. It didn't matter if we were white, black, hispanic, asian, blue or purple. We were all Americans and that made us all family. If the people who live here in the states could just feel that, we would be better off.
