Special Note: Due to space and time limitations we will no longer post messages from former active duty personnel on this page. We're sorry, but this web space was created to allow dependents and folks associated directly with dependents to find old friends and classmates. While we realize that the military experience overseas was similar with regard to making and then losing touch with friends, we must resrict our meager resources for use by those of us who had no choice but to be there. Sorry.

Comments: This page is wonderful! Brings back a lot of memories. I was a "brat" moved there when I was 7 , in the Fall of '63 and left in Summer of '67 , when my dad, Capt. Frank Weides, was transferred to LangleyAFB. We spent the first few months living in the village of Sembach, before moving in to base housing. Lived near the elementary school, loved the Saturday matinees at the theater right there. And the walks across the base to go bowling, (sure wouldn' let my kids walk across town now to do something like that!, ah, the innocence of the time, and the security of the base.) I don't suppose my "best friend" from back then, Dan Stephans, is out there. Anyone remember him, or his parents? His dad was the principal of the school, don't remember if it was ihgh school or both, and his mom was my Cub Scout Den Mother. I still get nostalgic passing a military instillation. Those years were special to me. Thanks for this page. Take care everyone! Bob Weides. erweides@aol.com

Comments: Where and how to start, won't really worry about my classmates form the 60's, but the rest of you from the 70's-90's, you all know who you are, meomories are just flooding, the Polks, Bornhofts, Vinnings, Harris, Crumleys, Kevin Bird, Kellys, Ryan and Jeremoy Fransico, Quentin, Megan Dahl, then people in contact with Larry Teague and Rodney Rice (my senior tigers football team) then the cheerleading squads, then the ones who really grew up, my whitewater rafters and skiers. You will all never know how great you made my life. My first visit to the Sembach AYA in 66 let me know just what I wanted to do the rest of my life, everyone of you made life at the Bach better than better. I could go on and on but you all know I never was short on words, young adults, coaches, parents and you, are all just great. Especially my son Terry, daughter Cat, and their daughter my granddaughter Alexys....showed me this on Mothers Day...could not have had a better present. The Kights Dan-Breanda Hi. Before I close guess I had better put in a good word for the rest of the family in case I can be of some help. My two brothers are Gary and Steve Gronniger, Robin and Kim Gronniger, Jill Clark, and her husband Web Cavenee, three Sembach marriages in this family. Really there is not a family out there that can hold a candle to our bragging rights.. Gosh what a great Mothers Day I miss and love each and everyone of you....who could ever forget the Polks (basketball uniforms how about Freddy) Well from the netherlands bye for now you are all always in my thoughts.

Comments: Hello all, My brother told me about this page a while ago, but I'm just getting around to making an input. I missed my last day at school at Sembach so I lost touch with everyone I knew very quickly. I would list everyone and ask them to contact me but the list of people is to long. So, if you remember me drop me a line and I promise to get back to you.

These people were Bill Taylor, Joe Reheiser, Danny Linton, Mark Reynolds, Danny Stevenson, Mark Riedell, Mark Wolfram and Dan and Doug Rhodes just to name a few. If you are looking for Paul and Dave Burke, I can give you good info where they can be contacted. I was at Sembach from July 1969 to January 1972. We need to have a reunion to share our old times together.

Comments: Not to start any fights but to all you Bornhofts and Harris', you have nothing on us Termans. My dad first got stationed at Sembach in 66, met my mom here, K-Town grad (1967) and then I first moved here in 76 and graduated in 87. Met my wife in 92 and she graduated from K-Town in 94 (yeah I robbed the cradle). So thats Beth Terman 67, Terry Terman 87, and Catherine (Beth) Terman (Van Husen) 94. But in comment to this page...WOW! I remember waaaay too many names. And Sean Cole. . . yeah I remember you breaking your hand in wrestling practice cause I am the one that broke it. How does that song go?? Memories...woa woa.....etc... Well Catherine and I tried to get away in 95 but after I tried semi-pro football in Fresno CA, I realized, at age 26 I needed to put down some kind of roots, so I visited the Army recruiter. First duty station: Landstuhl Germany. I live in Vogelweh housing 1157-D for crying out loud. And lets see...my father-in-law lives in Mesiau and is living with Mary Blanchard (has been teaching at Sembach forever) and my parents just recently left Sembach and moved 2 1/2 hours away to Holland. So YEAH! I have tons of memories of Sembach. SO in closing let me say hi to Michael Peveto, Wynn Knighton, Todd Sherman, Beth Donahue (sp), Dunja Beier, and the class of 87. And remember we beat Ramstein my Senior year to win the AAA football championship. Drop me a line if you remember me, I was hard to miss and close to 300lbs. And just so you know I am now over 300lbs. Up on the Heuberg and lovin it!!

Comments: I was only in the 4th and 5th grades at Sembach. We were stationed at Ramstein but lived in Morlauten (sp.). I remember the bus rides through our little town to Sembach. We would sit in the last seat and hit our heads on the roof when we were speeding around curves and going over the cobblestones. The school's chorus went to Brussels to sing but the bus broke down in Frankfurt so we went to the zoo instead.

Comments: Wow !.... I don't believe this. This page brings back a flood of memories. I've got to agree with just about everyone here, that the time spent on "The Bach" was a very special time. At the time I left I had lived there for almost 16 years. There's alot to remember there. From school to the parties to just hanging out a the AYA or Bowling center. ( God I miss the beer ) ;) My folks and brothers and sister all live here in California now. Mom Dad and Greg live just outside of San Bernadino and the rest live just outside of Sacramento. If you remember me or anyone of my family please drop a line and I'll besure to get back to you. I got to go check out the rest of these pages. Man....lots of famillier name here......Later all

Comments: Hey Gang. What a trip running into all of you! So many memories and so many people I thought I'd never hear from again. Well lets see, I did manage to graduate from high school once I got to the states and couldn't check myself out of school to sit on a hillside and drink beer. Of course those challenges arose in college again but I managed to squeek through that too and got a Marketing degree. I have been married for six years now and have an eight month old son (D.J.) Parenthood is quite a hoot. I am in Optical sales (eyeglasses) but am looking to get into Pharmaceutical sales shortly. I've been in Arkansas since I left the Bach and although I never meant to stay, it looks like I'll be here forever. Not a bad place if you have the right toys. Most of my memories from those times are good but involved doing things I wasn't supose to : skipping school, drinking, sneaking out, drinking, smoking cigs, drinking. I guess my best memories are of the basketball games at the big gymn and dances at the AYA with Willie Davis as the D.J. How many of you out there still remember all the words to Rappers Delight? Well if any of you get a hankerin', drop me a line. I'd love to hear from you!

Please drop me a line if you even remotely remember me. I just got my computer and am addicted. I promise to respond.

How about that trail behind the little theater that went into that german town. And all those cherry trees. YUM! Of course lets not forget Humptydumpty hill, building forts in the woods and that long walk to school. (they took away the busses because of the all the snowballs) It would be great to hear from Bruce Statler,Mike Diaz Corky Clyde,
