Comments: Hello Everyone. Derek and I are graduates of the class of '83 from K-Town. Both our families were stationed at Sembach. My maiden name is Leming. We were high school sweethearts over there in Germany and married in '84, going on 13 yrs -- time sure flies, huh?. Married life has been wonderful to us! We have three children: Andrew (10), Aaron (8), and Bethany (5). Derek works with computers at Brooks AFB and I'm an at-home mom for our three children. We homeschool, so my work is cut out for me! We live in on the Medina River in the Texas Hill Country - about 50 miles NW of San Antonio. Blessings to all of you!

Comments: Grad. from K-Town in 73. I remember the walks into the village via the hill through the woods, the football games at the bowl, catching the bus at the commissary and bagging groceries. I use to chum with Connie Michetti, John O'Connor, Denise Craeger and a few others. We had some good times traveling around. Have a sister Lynne a year older who worked at the club on base. She married a G.I. from Sembach named Chris. Use to hang around with some G.I.'s, George Kalbfleisch, can't remember the others. Lived down in the hole accross from the AYA. Would love to hear from others.

Comments: Wow! I can't believe I found this. I'm always thinking about the AYA (and the one that was burned down supposedly), Holiday Park, the movie theatre at school, and all my old friends. If any one has kept in contact with Christie Wright I would love to find her. And if you would like to share stories contact me please!!

Comments: Incredible! I thought Sembach had been a victim of the base closings. Happy to hear it's still hummin'. I'm looking for anyone who might have been there between April 1982 and April 1984, particularly any of the guys who worked in reprographics with Frank Goss or with the SPs as part of their wartime AFSC. Anyone know what's happend to CMSgt. Jean Michel and his family? And is Werner's Stub still in business just off the base? Man, they had some awsome cordon bleu von kalb and Weisen beer! I'm gaining weight just thinking about it!

Comments: Hi from Germany! Just wanted to update this thing. Klaus and I are leaving for the states at the end of June. So, this email address will no longer be valid after 6 June. Germany has changed a lot. Was in Sembach this weekend visiting the Harris'. You'd be amazed at all of the new houses that have been built in Sembach village. Vogelweh has a new commissary over in the baseball field near the Gym. But, the bowling alley has gone down hill. I can't imagine where everyone hangs out anymore! Bill Lee is still there. Still looks the same. The beer is still good too! Anyway, we will be in Alabama for 4 months and then off to FT Hood Texas for a couple years. See you once we are hooked up to email again!! Take Care!!!

Comments: Hi, Sembachers! I was known as Jerry Harding. My brother is Michael Harding and my sister is Melody Harding (Ogilvie now). Our mother is Sylvia Harding. She coached the Sembach girl's softball team that Pat Morlan was on. Pat was my date at the Sadie Hawkins dance. (See page 83 of the 1963 yearbook.) My brother and I both dated Margie Davis (at different times.) We danced every Friday and Saturday at the teen center. I played on the Kaiserslautern Soccer team. I am now a computer systems analyst. I would love to hear from any of you. Here in Sacramento, I can locate Lonnie Beard, Leanord and Howard Humphreys, and Ralph Munch. They were all there when we were. In addition, Heather White, who was at Sembach a few decades later, is also in Sacramento. She is on my current soccer team.

Comments: I've been loking to make contact for so long, its great to read that the hill hasn't changed. All the memories at the AYA, Winwieler pool, and the local gang in sembach village. I was always hiking in the woods and look at me now. I'm a plant Biologist in the tropics. The weather there made me homesick for Florida! I got my travel bug from always hicthhiking from K-town to home. Also visiting my friends from school in Lansthul, Ramstien and skiping school and going downtown. Now I have to jog my memory banks to remember names. If there is anyone out there that was in was in the class of '76 please drop a line. That part of my life seemed like void until I found this site. I live in Key West, Florida. I'm working to save Endangered native plants and when I'm in the woods I have fond memories of Germany and it's influence on me.

Comments: If I've ever been speechless (which I doubt) I came close when I found this page. If time travel ever becomes possible, I'm heading back to Sembach first! I only stayed about 18 months, typical of an army brat...but our stay at SAFB was the best! Who can forget the luxury tour bus trips to school? Hanging out at the AYA...working for peanuts during summer hire... I'm in touch with several Ktown grads, but am still looking for Laurie and Barbara Proctor, Andrea Petterson, really anyone, I guess, who was there with me. Also, I lost touch with an Airman Chris Writesman who worked at the post office. Anyone who can help with that, please write. I'm married to a wonderful ex-Navy man and we have 3 kids now. Ya gotta stick with military folks; they're the only ones who understand. Don't be shy- drop me a line!

Some of the people we are still in touch with from our time at Sembach: Gary and Cindy Smith; Kathy, Mike and Mark Eye; Marlon Polk (and his 3 brothers); Larry Teague (and his little brother George who plays in the NFL). Anyone who remembers me or any of these people let me know! My brother and I have very fond memories of the great times we had at Sembach.

Comments: All right, time to update the comment form. Everyone else has asked the question of THEIR friends, so "what has happened to MY old buds from the Sembach Tigers baseball team??" Oh, let's see, I think of Dave Moore, Mike Barna and his hair, Bill Million (and his sister, Lori, I think -- she didn't play baseball, but whatever), Billy Johnson (who put out one of my eyeteeth with a folded-up Warning Triangle), Derek Sklar, Harold Howell, and all the others -- I hesitate to ask, but I already did. What has beCOME of you?!? Anyone with any manageable leads on this group of Ne'er-Do-Well, Beer-Tent-Crashing, Balcony-Jumping, Pizza-Pub-Goin', Porno-Flick-Watchin' gentlemen (or others of the same or similar ilk), please e-mail me at mtcirceo@hotmail.com.

Comments: Like everyone else, I think this page is great! I also have memories, fuzzy though they may be, of Mt. Whitey, Suicide Hill, movies for a quarter, etc. I've noticed a couple of folks here that I probably knew, but the names don't ring a bell. Names I do remember are Steve Till, Steve Elmore, Dave Thurman and Lucy Thurman (all Sembach Elementary types). My dad (Capt. Bill Leach) was commander of the weather detachment the last couple of years we were there and my mom (Jean) was active in OWC. My younger brother Rob had just finished 1st grade when we left. If you think you remember any of us, give me a yell!!

Comments: So many memories came back while reading the letters, this internet is the best thing since sliced bread. My former husband and our boys Chris and Robert lived at Vogelweh Bldg #1125-c. Neighbors and our family built a B-B-Q pit behind the building. I worked at the Vogelweh officers club as a cashier. My boys attended elem. schl. and acted in two plays at the military playhouse in town-"Miracle Worker" and "The Wizard of OZ". Dino's had great food. Wertheims' was a dept. store in K-Town I loved, as well as the open air market next to it. We lived in Meghlingen for approx. 6 mos. maybe longer. My son had a birthday, while we lived there, took a bunch of German & American kids to the movie. One holloween night at the airmens club in Vogelweh, I won first prize with my campbell soup dress and can on my head! Stayed at the Barbarossahof gasthouse on the main road our first few weeks in Germany. My boys gave out brownies and beer to the red and/or blue army men training in the woods across from the housing area. Parties at 1125-c were fun for many folks, we had a drag shute on our ceiling in one corner, lots of food, C.C.R. and beer. Hope someone remembers us or places I mentioned. Thanks for this opportunity!

I'll also never forget playing war in the woods behind my good friend Tom Mohr's building. (If you read this Tom- drop me a line.) The bowling alley was also a favorite hangout of mine. I also had my first ever job at the commisarry, pushing the grocery carts back to the front door. (Gosh, I was only about 12!) If anyone recognizes my name, feel free to let me hear from you. Comments: Hi everyone! It has been such an experience living the life of a military brat and what made it even more special was being able to spend time in Sembach. Some of my fondest memories are from participating in sports there at the AYA. I actually had the opportunity of living at Sembach two different times. The first was from 1980-1985, where I attended Sembach elementary school. My family returned again in 1988 and was there until my sophomore year in 1992. Some of you may know my brother, Aaron Cornett. I have another brother, but he was too young to enjoy the things we did then! My family currently lives in Lansing, Kansas(Leavenworth). I attend Texas Christian University in Fort Worth and will graduate in May 1998! I think this is an excellent idea and hope to run into some old friends!!
