Comments: Hey, I was looking for anyone who might remember me. I remember entering 5th grade in Mr. Krauter's class and all the wonderful base memories. I was that big-eared, curly haired sax in the the band (taught by Mrs. Morrelli). I was really active in Boy Scouts and Shotokan at the AYA. I still keep in touch with Donna LaBuda but lost touch with Michael Collins, Donal Perry, Vicki Basimacopollis, Earl Smith and others. I'm a cadet at the United States Military Academy now (yeah, my dad's cool with my choice to go Army:) and am engaged to be married upon graduation. I was just thinking about everyone and curious if you've kept in touch with any of our old friends or teachers (Mr. Bertschinger, Mrs. Seth, Mr. Krauter, that cool shop teacher, or whoever).

Comments: My brother, David (Class '71), found this page and called right away. I have read the messages from Danny Linton and passed them on to my brother, Mark (Class '74). I have many great memories of Sembach, particularly sledding on Mt. Whitey and Suicide Hill which was right behind our quarters 32-c-4. I would love to track down Sue Fleckenstein, Kim Bishop, Frances Murdock and Kim Rath! I remember taking cardboard boxes down the hills of the football stadium "bowl". What fun. I live in Michigan, am widowed with two children, Jessica and Michael. Sometimes Sembach memories are hard to come by and reading messages left by others was great fun. Comments: I was there for preschool and kindergarten but for some reason have stronger memories of this place and the many faces on base than other places I have lived. Especially sledding down that hill!!! On a German box sled with no steering and no brakes!! I also remember taking charge of every toy car in the vicinity; my apologies to all I fought over them!

Comments: Wow! This is great! I just heard about this page tonight and exploded when I saw all the familar names. Hope to hear from some of you real soon. Well, I was at the Bach from 79-83; graduated from K-Town in 83. Had some of the best years of my life over there. Played a lot of basketball and took a lot of folks to the hole like Joe Calabro, Boo-Boo Harris (Ter Doc), ALL the Polk brothers, Larry Teague, Steve Hines, Royce Gabbert--just to name a few. Now I'm married with three great kids (step-son Charles (17), Jamyl (7), and LaQuera (3)) and a wonderful wife, Carolyn. Recently spoke with Klause Harris, Jackie Bornhof, and Joe Calabro. I been hanging out in New Jersey since 88 and hope to move to Atlanta next year. Comments: This is such a COOL page. My sister Tina and I talk about Sembach and Bachers all the time. I am in the Air Force at Aviano in Italy. I went to The Bach last July and had alot of great feelings come back to me. I remember waiting for the bus at the commissary parking lot and hoping that it would not come. I played baseball for half a year in 78 and had to quit because of hip surgery. I have been looking for several people from back in the good old days: Tim Maddox, Mandy Ragalski(sp?), The Hendrix clan, Steve Belcher, The WOLF PACK, Hell, just about anyone. I talked to Angie Roach last month and Denise Waylett and I keep in touch by mail (she just had a baby) Well thats it for now. Please contact me if you remember Tina Or myself. Comments: I can't believe I found this page! This is so cool. I lived in Sembach for two years in bldg. 38 apt. A-5. It was the year that the Olympics were held in Munich. What I remember most about Sembach are the woods just outside the back of our bldg.(we would sled down the hill in the winter and barely miss those trees)and the valley below the woods where we used to pick wild blackberries and raspberries. My friend Sally (can't remember her last name but it started with a W.) got lost in those woods once and we ended up coming out of them near a baseball field way at the other end of town. My 3rd grade teacher was Mrs. Blair, my 4th grade teacher was Miss Rector. I remember the AYA, and the year that a kid climbed an electric pole and had got seriously injured (had his arm amputated). My friends were the Flickingers (Paul and William), the Luntzes (five brothers including that cutie, Michael), the Crosslins, the Slaughters, and the Sumners (Dale and Dawn). My older brother is Daniel Goodwin who had a crush on Belinda and her friend, Toni. I was in love with Eddie Pucket. What a hunk! I was on the Mets girls T-ball team and Robin Griesbach from the Bombers used to kick our butts every time, which was a bummer since those were the only two teams on the base. So, once they let us play the boys and that was the only game we won that year. My brother used to order these LP's from the states, called Pop Rock or Pop 10-something like that, and they would always have a picture of a half-naked girl on the cover. We would spend hours listening to songs like Rocket Man, Tumbling Dice, School's Out, Dr. My Eyes, Claire, Billy Don't Be a Hero, etc. If you remember me or can relate to any of the above, drop me a line . . . Comments: It was great to see the tiger come up with the Sembach page and the introductory paragraph. One item you failed to mention, however, was the pool at Winnweiler. The summer of '69 was unforgettable at Sembach and the Winnweiler pool provided a great outlet for us all. Also, trying to decide which theater to go to....the mini-snack bar on the left as you entered the housing area....the weekend dances and just gathering at the AYA....our dominant AYA football and Babe Ruth baseball teams in '67 and '68 (we are the Tigers, mighty, mighty Tigers)....heading home with a pocket full of coins from bagging at the commissary....and, of course, sledding the treacherous slopes of Mt. Whitey.....thanks for the air time!

Comments: What's up to the new and the old crews from Sembach, it was so cool to stumble across this it brought back the memories of of running the streets of Sembach. Well I graduated in 96 and left for the Army in 97, everythings been great so far. I just recently got a chance to go back and check everything out and also see a coulple of people still hanging out. Even though I have only been gone about a year that place has changed. They tore down the shoppette and moved it to the the PX which we no longer have. We still got the Bowling alley, the movie theaters, and the AyA. Basically its just a housing area now. But face it Sembach really never was a hot place to be, unless you were in the right crew, and from what I remember of what me and my homeboys were doing till the end Sembach was just ine by me. Comments: Hey there, to anyone who might remember me. This site sure has brought back some great memories. Sleding on suicide hill, Jumping the fence behind the school to go to the swimming pool during the summer, playing football in the front yard (bldg 32 A-1). I had almost forgot some people till I saw George Teague playing football for Alabama and stealing the ball to win the National championship! I played football with him all the time, he was great then. We used to race in P.E. class for that mile run through the fields behind the school. Chakrit Bunveseth ( I will never forget that name) If you see this how the hell are you? A few others like ..... Brown. Remember TLC the dancers to electric something. Comments: Had a blast reading through all the comments !! Was only a small "brat" in my years there. Did 3rd-5th grade there. Lived in 36 C-6,with the hill right in front ! Have 4 brothers, Jeff and Barry (High School), Dale (Jr.) and Pat. I do remember the football field in the bowl, loud music in the maids rooms, Deep Purple,etc.., walks to the village, playing tetherball, suicide hill (though I wasn't allowed to go, LOL) the fields in the woods with the row of apple trees, grab 'em and RUN like heck!! (Those farmers had no sense of humor!) Had some good friends,lived in the same stairwell, Munozes, and the Gavins. Laurie Gavin if you're out there, would love to hear from you. From Sembach, Dad retired in N.C., Seymour Johnson. After 19 yrs. there, am now in Anchorage, Alaska!

Comments: I lived in Sembach from second to fourth grade and would love to get in touch with childhood friends. But, the reason for this message is my parents. They were the Sembach PYOC (chapel youth group) leaders in 1963/1964. I know they would love to hear from any of you who remember the chapel youth group. They still talk fondly of the teenagers in their group and wonder how they are doing in their lives. They especially laugh over the memories of going to a skating rink somewhere...all I remember doing is tagging along... but, if you have any other memories to share with my parents, Bill and Ouida Miller, please e-mail me and I'll get them the messages (though Dad loves computers, he's still not on-line).

Comments: holy moly batman. i lived in sembach from 74-78. in buliding 24 A5. i can't believe this page exist. anyway, my sister ginger doesn't know about this page yet, wait til she sees this. after sembach and ktown high, the family moved to florida in 1980, i moved to so. cal. and finished college there. after a blurry next few years, i met an incredible man, who married me in 1988. we have two boys, caleb who is eight and zac who is four. in 1994 we move to the great state of oklahoma to raise our kids in a more laid back society. it's funny but i remember only certain things, like the rhine cruise i took the nights at the aya playing foosball. the stupid things we did in maids rooms. how much trouble we got into from the parties we had at our house when my parents where out of town. the cold mornings freezing our butts off waiting for the buses, and the long rides to ramstein then ktown. but mostly i remember how we all tried to survive our days there and how our memories block out all the bad things. i look back on it now and realize how lucky we were living over there and not having the typical problems that other teens had they we never had. please email me and let's talk about our memories

Comments: Wow! What a great idea! Memories keep rushing in, especially when I flip through the yearbook. I can remember 'suicide hill', barbed wire, the Flash, shopping, the bowling alley, Hilltop theater, police dogs checking the buses, Mr. DePauw and Mr. T, the girl scouts, and friends. Comments: Hey Everyone! We're finally in Texas. This is Pam Windhagen and I'm just signing myself and Klaus back into the Sembach Brats page. We don't have a current Email as of yet, but will soon. Klaus is busy flying around in his helicopter and I'm a secretary for a company on Ft Hood. This place is pretty nice, just ready for the summer. The kids are 3 and 5 now and stressing us out!
