Comments: I was assigned to the 66th ECW/601stTCW command post on good ole' Sembach, the ugly green concrete building down over the hill. Still had camoflauge netting on it when I left. I still remember taking my two daughters Laurie and Jennifer sledding and things like "family cleanup day" in base housing. Ah, those were the days!

Comments: I know that I already signed this, but it was a rather short posting. I'd love to go back to Sembach someday, although I'm sure that it's changed so much that my memories will be much better. Who can forget walking to the bowling alley in the early morning hours to catch the bus to K-Town? I lived at Sembach long enough to go through all of Junior High (when it was a Junior High and NOT a Middle School) and had Ms. Neisler for TWO years in a row! (How did I survive that?) I have great memories of K-Town and all my friends on the Varsity Basketball and Soccer Teams...(MiMi Dorton, Misty Cornett, Becca Johnston, Jane Atimua, Paula Tuttle, etc...) and my goof-around friends on Sembach... Heather MacFarlane (with whom I am in school with now), Meggan Mincher, Angela Thomas, Jennifer Rusboldt, Jenni Mihills, et al. So many of the names on these pages are so familiar. I can't believe how close all of us "Sembachers" actually were, (although we hated it at the time!). I wonder where everyone is and how they are doing? (Some names from the past: Jason Dowell, Pablo Groves, Jon Dungan...WHERE ARE YOU??) Anyway, I guess I should get going. Keep in touch!

Comments: I did not go to school at Sembach, but was stationed there in active duty. I belonged to the 601st CRS, phase docks. Had a lot of good times there, playing football in the bowl, going to Charlies for steaks and beer. Lost contact with a lot of friends from there. Miss going to Heidleburg to see the fireworks once a month. If anyone knows the whereabouts of a Robert Slover, "Goody" Goddard, or anyone that worked in phase docks during that time, please try and let me know. Saw most of them in 1985 at George AFB, CA. Comments: Wow what a great page! Remember Sembach fondly, went to K-town for 9-11 grades left at beginning of senior year, bummed to max. Sacked groceries, played football on 67 championship team Go Tigers! Saturday nite dances at youth center or better yet all area dances! Easter trips to Berchasgarden and Berlin, riding the troop train. Old tree at end of road leading to base. Lived in Enkenbach above a gasthaus until housing. Remember bus crash on way to school one day. Would love to hear from anyone who was there at that time. Remember many and still have my k-town yearbooks.

Comments: Hey what's up to all of the old crew from the Heuberg. I came across this page from my dad, and found out that I recognized a few names on the page. I lived on or around Sembach from 77 to 87 and then closer to K-town for high school. I'm attending the Univ of Missouri (from one tiger town to another) and working on some additions to my degree. I still remember all of the good times at Sembach and K-town such as the 14-13 homecoming victory over Ramstein in 87, going sledding at suicide hill behind bldg 32 till the fence went up, swimming at the Winnweiler schwimmbad in the summer, The Flash, the Alte Munz, and playing football at the helipad on turkey day in the pouring rain. Comments: I enjoyed living at Sembach for the short time I was there. I remember many cold mornings waiting for the bus at the Commisary. I played basketball for the Sembach girls team and volleyball for Kaiserslautern High School. I was married shortly after graduating in 1982 to Michael Sirrine who was in the Army at that time. We now live in Seattle Washington where I work as a travel agent and I am the Mom of five children. I would love to hear from anyone who lived at Sembach from 1980-1982. Comments: I arrived at Sembach Christmas Eve, 1965 and was assigned to the 601st; Worked for Sgts. LaPorte and Yenchik in the ground radio section at the CRC complex. The "bubble" I believe it was called was the best identifying feature of the 601st CRC site. I lived in bldg. 217 & I see by the map that it is still there. Couldn't find the CRC though so I guess it was reclaimed for other purposes when the 601st was deactivated. This site is a good idea....I will check back on occasion for further comments. Comments: Ed and Ann Albert. Adult advisors to the chapel group, The Real People. Ed was in the Security Police and Disaster Preparedness. We were asked by Frank Hartsell to be the first junior high counselors for the Real People, with Dan and Sharon McAlpin. We live close to the Hartsells and keep in touch with them and the McAlpins. Our son, Teddy, who was a toddler at Sembach is now USAF 1LT in Panama. Have followed lives of "Real People" with interest. Would love to hear from any of the 1992-1995 group. We remember the ski trips and dime-a-dip suppers with fondness. Also remember a ski trip communion service Rev. Hartsell conducted with Coca Cola and Oreos since it was at night and we had no way to get bread and juice.

Comments: I wasn't a "brat" but enlisted in the A.F. after H.S. and sent to Sembach in 1963. Immediately dispatched to Detachment 100 of 601st Tactical Control Squadron in Celle (North Germany)for 3 years.We visited our headquaters at Sembach dozens of times for training (radar operator) and fun and games.Many fond memories of the area and Germany in general.Played on the Det. 100 softball team. Wouldn't trade those years for anything. 'wiedersehen!

Comments: My dad, Steve Schramm was stationed at Sembach from 1965 to 1970. Our family lived in Ktown and then moved to Sembach. My sister Barbara and I both graduated from Ktown. I went on to Univ of MD at Munich for two years. We lived very close to the theater. I remember spending lots of time at the teen club in the housing area. It was a great station. I too remember all the sleding in the winter or rolling down the grass hills in the summer. I have been back to Germany several times for business but not back to Sembach. I remember Pete Ard, Edith Smith, Linda ... and others from Sembach at that time.

Comments: I was active duty base security police. My son who is now 20 was born at Landsthul, This is a great idea!! Lots of memories of most of them good. Like crashing to car into the fence at site 5, being out in the snow when it was so cold they brought the dogs in, but left us out. Any one know the whereabouts of Sgt Murray, Sgt Pete Vellis. I also remember our csu's Rheinhardt, Piorche, and the little british guy that tried to make it as a cop in tennessee. Any one lookin for me?? Here I am.
