Comments: Just thought I'd update to a more current comment page and give out my new email address! I'd love to hear from anyone that knew me in Sembach from 1963-1966 or my sister Connie. We have such wonderful memories of our stay there! It's so much fun reading all the Sembachers that have followed in our footsteps! Is the Teen Club still standing? What a great hangout!! We are all Sembachers in spirit - even if we've never met - whether we were all there at the same time or not!! It was a great place to grow up and make everlasting friends and memories! :)

Comments: My dad was 1st Sgt of the 5xx Missle Maint. Sqd.at Sembach 60-62. First year we lived in Frankenstein(I've had fun with that over the years) then about 6 months in Alsenborn and then only about 6 months on base. With so much time on the "economy" I actually hung around mostly with German kids. K-Town HS was great! Maudene Keen instilled in me a love of history I still enjoy and Gene Karjala helped influence me to a career as a music teacher, a career I recently just retired from. Some of my fondest memories are cruising to Heidelberg and Nancy in my black, pink and white '55 Dodge. While in the Army from 68-71 I did everything I could to be sent to Germany - they unfortunately sent me to a much hotter climate where people were trying to kill me.

Comments: I had a great time visiting Sembach during the 2003 Reunion. Several of us older K-town Alumni visited the base. I was surprised to see my old building, the teen club and the movie theatre (not used as that any more). The base football field was still there as so was the LONG sled run. If any of you remember me from the class of '63, send me an e-mail. If you didn't attend the 2003 Reunion, you missed a lot. Check the Alumni web site in several weeks to view the pictures and see the comments.

Comments: Hi everybody! Some might remember me as Christine, others might remember that I was "Butler's Little Sister" (my brother Greg Butler). In 1979, I was the little league football cheerleader with her arm in a cast! I'd fallen off the rope swing behind one of the housing buildings. I remember Ms. Somerset and Ms. Roper, the other teachers' names escape me. Lisa Cummings and Michelle Stewart were my best friends. Michelle's beautiful and wonderful big sister, Sandy, died at age 16 on Snake Road. I remember at her funeral, her friends (the highschoolers) held my hand and we cried together. My mother, Sandra Butler, had been in a very bad car accident in the village of Sembach. Oh, and I can't forget to mention the vicious crush I had on Greg Hinds, but seriously, all the girls did! Hi Greg! I'm really glad my brother told me about this site!

Comments: Hey all I remember the AYA, and everything else. I went to 4th-7th grade at Sembach, but lived on 'the economy' in Langmeil. Would love to hear from anyone who was there at the time. Maybe you remember my sister Christine Butler, she ended up on the cover of the Stars and Stripes for blowing a 'double bubble' in a bubble gum contest at the AYA. I played for the Tigers and remember the other team was the Vikings. I am married and have three kids. Moved to Austin after leaving Sembach and still do even after serving 6 years in the Marines, much to my fathers dismay, and was in the Persian Gulf War as a machine gunner in 1991. Drop me a line. Comments: Wow, I was just going through some old boxes and found a photo album my Sembach friends made for me when I left. I want to find them after all these years and am so pleased to find this website. Their names are/were: Jennifer Harrold, Susan Knight, Michelle Rhode, Tobey Lee Hannsz, Terry Poole, and Kelly Brown. We called ourselves "our little group" and we did pretty much everything together from sledding down suicide hill (where I landed in the barbed wire at the bottom) to playing ghost in the graveyard on a warm summer night. I went back to Sembach last year and was happy to note that not much has changed.

Comments: Hello! Looking for fellow Sembachers who remember me. I lived on Sembach for a LONG time and saw many people come and go. I started 1st grade on Sembach, went to K-town High School, and finished up my B.A. with University of Maryland (Munich Campus and European Division). As you can tell, I know a lot of people that have spanned throughout my education. :-) If anyone remembers Dr. Atkins (U of M), Mr. T., Mr. DePauw, Mr. Castle, Frau Schindler and any of the other teachers and professors, please drop me a line. Comments: Sembach is a major part of my memories. It was such a unique experience, how could anyone ever forget it. All the friends and all the memories. Stairwells, maidsrooms, sledding on Mt. Whitie, Winnwieler, the obbsesion with stateside candy and tennis shoes(pony's), the AYA, the bowling alley. It goes on and on. I remember everybody and would love to here from some of ya'll. Sembach was a hard place to leave at it seems that it's a time in all of our lives where we tend to really for a bond with all of our friends. It was the best years of my life looking back. I remember so many of you--Twiggy, Stephanie, Diane, Tim and so many more of you. I saw Boonie Martin about a year ago and he looks the same. Stephanie it's been along time since I have see you. Comments: Hello All...Just wanted to update my comment. I would like to ask, again, if anyone has heard anything on Leslie Hamler? She was my age (Class of '86)...she was a fellow Raiderette...she had a sister named Carmen....she left Germany during our sophomore year ('83 - '84)....when her family PCS'd, I believe they went to Las Vegas. If you have any way of contacting her, please let me know...or, at least, send her my email address. I haven't seen or spoken with her for like 20 years (Wow!!)..All is well with the Harrells...my children are now 8 and 14 (WOW!! again)...I am still with Child Protective Services...I am toying with the idea of becoming an Interior Decorator....Many who visit my home think I'm pretty good...I said I was not going back for my Master's, and I thought I meant it...but I may change my mind....who knows...I just might end up hosting one of those Interior Design shows (hahaha!!!) We are still in Dover....I became an auntie back in 2000!! My brother Spike has both a daughter, and a new son (they are both devastatingly gorgeous...just like their Auntie...hahahaha)!!! I was looking at the Sembach Tiger yearbooks from 71-73 a few years ago, I better go dig it up, maybe the site owner would let me post the scanned pics. Mr "T" was maybe the best teacher I ever had. If anyone can come up with email or locations for Will Lemire, Ken Crisp, or Candy Sharp let me know, please. Ozzie Harris ! Sounds like you're doing great. I bet you don't remember the guy who foolishly went up for a rebound against you and got his finger busted for it ? Heh... I still have a calcium deposit from that. I never thought that I would have had an oppurtunity to talk about Sembach with other bacher's.I can't remember the number of the building we lived in,but I do know that it had a very steep hill in front of it.Our apartment number was A-3.I remember the A.Y.A. dances, Rod and Gun club that my dad managed.I played on the JR. High soccer team in 72-73.If anyone remembers me please drop me a line or 2.
