Comments: Hi all, I went to kindergarten in k-town (Sembach was just being built), 1st and 2nd grade in Sembach, then on next tour, 8th grade in Sembach, 9th and 10th in k-town. Was back in Germany on vaca. in '99 but they wouldn't let us on the base. Have great memories of my time in Germany and am pleased to see from the more recent grads that the traditions live on. Comments: An old Sembach friend,Betty Beard,sent a picture of a group of guys on motorcycles in front of the teen club...I was in the picture!!!What a great way to bring back memories...Anybody have pictures from Sembach to share? Comments: I must be one of the old dinosaures who lived at Sembach. My dad was CO of the base then (Col. H. H. Whitfield) but I was in the seventh grade and not really impressed. I was having more fun on Suicide Hill...still have a scar over my eye when my sled stopped but I didn't. Have been having to many senior moments to remember many names. I do remember Dick Romano, anybody know him? I just know that my time at Sembach was one of the best times of my life and I remember it fondly. If anyone out there lived there during that time, I'd enjoy hearing from you.

Comments: I also thought I would let you all know whats been going on with the few Sembachers I have run across since leaving. John Wahlquist and I both ended up at Tinker AFB. Although we went to different HS we hung out together. He moved to Minnesota and the last I heard from him was in 1992. Heather Thomas was also at Tinker, spoke with her only a few times. Russell Rogers and I went to Texas A&M together. Last time I saw him was at my wedding in 1995. I heard he was an accountant in Ft. Worth. Karie Calachico I also saw a few times around A&M. Thats about all I know.

Comments: Just got back from a vacation to Germany and thought some of you would like to know how things have changed... High security so we couldn't even get on Sembach! The K-town shopping area has had a lot of renovation and new construction...more fountains and sculptures etc. Looks great! Changes to the autobahn made things disorienting and we ran out of time trying to find our way so I didn't get to see the high school but the area around town is crazy with construction and new buildings! Much less of an "old town" look and getting more modern. Sembach village was still small and peaceful and very pretty, as was the area down "Snake Hill". Some of you will be saddened to hear that THE BLUE LIGHT IS GONE!!!! We visited an old family friend who said the area was hit hard economically by the military pull-out. Overall, the culture is the same, nice slow pace to life, great food, friendly people and just wonderful atmosphere. It was great to go home! Well, thought some of you might like the update!

Comments: Hi everyone! I lived in on Sembach AFB in building 28 C5 for seven years and it feels like SO good to find a site on Sembach b/c i miss it terribly. In '94 I moved to Yorktown, Virginia, where i'm still stationed. My father, Richard (Sam) Moore, retired from the air force and he is now a communicator, working witht eh same people. My brother Mike has really grown. He's a Junior in high school,he's one of the best drummers at his school, has his own band, and he plans on going to Virginia Tech. My college is his second choice. I'm a sophomore at one of our community colleges (Christopher Newport University) and i just chose a Creative Writing major over spring break (it is now summer vacation-yes!). Currently, i'm writing a novel and i have dreams to persue a writing, acting and singing career. I would like to get in contact with Allison Windsor, Danielle Maynard,Carrie Cecil,Jonathan Sedyk, and anyone else who remembers me or went to elementery/ middle school in the years i attended. I have changed quite alot. I'm not the shy,geeky girl i was then. Lol. Now i'm an outgoing geeky woman. :-). Just kidding. Comments: This is pretty cool to find a place where I actually recognize several names. The ONLY disadvantage I've ever thought related to being a "brat" was never being able to go "home". The places (i.e. people) I grew up with don't exist anymore, or so I thought. It's nice to know they are there albeit in different areas. I lived in Sembach, had 4th grade Ms. Faye, 5th grade Mr. villegas, and 6th-miss duffy. would enjoy hearing from folks who remember those people or my name. My sisters were students at K-town...Karen and nancy Atchley. Both graduated from there in 1976 & 77. I've spent 12 years in Salt Lake City, Utah (just moved east to Cincinnati, OH) and recently acquired my masters degree in Organizational Management. I've stumbles on sites that show pictures of sembah when it was more than just housing and was a great base. I've heard stories about when KAHS was the only highschool in the k-town area and the WHOLE BUILDING was the highschool and not devided up between elementary and middleschool also. I am still living in Arkansas and working in Pharmaceutical Sales which is a pretty good gig. I've been married for 10 years this month (to the same guy) and have two sons, 4yrs and 13months (same father by same guy). I say this because Micci Gabbert once said she would have thought I'd have been married five times by now with a different kid for each dad. So I had a little fun on the Bach, what can I say. But whos idea was it to let us live in a country where there were no age restrictions for buying alcohaul? And remember checking out of school at K-Town? We signed ourselves out! What were they thinking!! I came back to the sates at 15 and could handle a six-pack of Bud in one sitting! Ah, those were the days. Now I'm pretty much Super Career-Mom who in no way can handle a six-pack of anything because I'm a wimp. Anyhow, anyone out there who feels like dropping me a line, feel free. Since graduating from seminary I have been accepted as a Missionary with a mission called Cadence International. We minister to American military members and their families through an open home environment. A place to go for home cooked meals, fellowship, Bible study, etc. I am very excited about the opportunity especially in light of our world's current events and military involvement. I am being sent back to the K-town area and can't wait to go. I'm not sure when I will be leaving, all is contingent on the bringing together of a prayer and financial support team. Comments: Happy New Year fellow Sembachers. What a year it has been for me. After all these years I have just had my first baby. He is absolutley fantastic. Born Christmas Eve (15 days overdue) but I feel truly blessed. My folks visited Sembach this summer when they went to visit my brother who is stationed at Ramstein. They have done a nice paint job on the buildings. They sure dont look like the military drab dorms like when we lived there. (except for Christmas) Remember how all the stairwells would get together and paint them up and our picture windows to match?
